BBBS hosts annual holiday party with a Japanese cultural twist

On December 3, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the National Capital Area (BBBSNCA) hosted their annual holiday party, where we enjoyed  a little cultural twist by joining forces with the Japanese Exchange and Teaching Program Alumni Association of Washington, DC (JETAADC).
We had several fun Japanese activities, such as an origami folding, calligraphy, chopsticks challenge, and traditional Japanese games. The kids even had an opportunity learn Japanese and wear the traditional Japanese Hoppi coats and take pictures with their families and their Bigs.
In addition, Tom Moore and ROCS Staffing generously provided over 170 gifts, which they handed out to a long line of children dancing to combination of Japanese and holiday music!
